A poem

We are so eager to

Take flight,

See space,

Go higher,

And we forget

That if we quiet ourselves,

and listen closely enough

To the heart beat of the Earth,

The greatest revelations won’t come to us when we’re higher,

But right here, when we are close to the ground.

Breathe.
